These terms cover your use of sendm8 at sendm8.com, operated by m8team, a small group of people based in the United Kingdom (hello@sendm8.com). m8team isn't a registered company. By using sendm8 you agree to them. The sendm8 source code is separately licensed under the GNU AGPL-3.0. These terms cover the hosted service, not the code.
The service
sendm8 receives submissions from web forms and delivers them to you. It's free. To keep it free for everyone, the hosted service has fair-use limits (see the pricing page), and those limits may change.
Your account and your forms
- You're responsible for the forms you point at sendm8, and for having the right to collect and process what people submit through them. This includes telling your visitors how their data is used.
- Keep your account secure. You're responsible for activity on it.
- You can delete your data and forms at any time.
Acceptable use
Don't use sendm8 to:
- Collect passwords, payment card details, security codes, recovery phrases, or other credentials (phishing). Forms that look like they do this are held automatically.
- Send spam, or put sendm8 addresses or endpoints in unsolicited messages.
- Collect data about children without the required consent, or special category data without a lawful basis.
- Distribute malware, or host or collect illegal content.
- Impersonate people or organisations, or mislead visitors about who is collecting their data.
- Circumvent limits, rate limits or abuse protections, or overload the service.
- Use webhooks or integrations to attack or probe other systems.
We may hold submissions, pause or disable forms, block traffic, or suspend accounts that break these rules or put the service or other people at risk. Where it's safe and practical, we'll tell you why. Report abuse at sendm8.com/report or abuse@sendm8.com.
Third-party services
Delivery to email, Discord, Slack, Telegram or your own webhooks depends on those services. If you add your own Resend API key or Turnstile secret, your use of those services is governed by their terms.
No warranty
sendm8 is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We work hard to deliver every submission, but we don't guarantee the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that every submission or notification will be delivered or kept. Don't rely on sendm8 as your only copy of important data. Export it.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost data, revenue or profits. Our total liability for any claim is limited to £100 (the service is free). Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law.
Ending things
You can stop using sendm8 at any time. We may end or change the service. If we shut it down, we'll give reasonable notice so you can export your data.
Changes
We may update these terms. We'll post changes here and update the date above. Continuing to use sendm8 after changes means you accept them.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
